As a Compliance & Safety Service Manager, you will take operational and strategic responsibility for key areas of property compliance across our housing portfolio. You will lead on managing gas safety, electrical testing, water hygiene, and asbestos compliance, ensuring that all obligations are met and services are delivered to the highest standards.

This is a senior role suited to someone who thrives on accountability, relationship‑building, and driving continual improvement in a complex environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Compliance and Safety Service Manager:

  • Lead the effective management of gas, electrical, water hygiene, and asbestos compliance (no fire safety expertise required)
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all service areas
  • Produce high‑quality, insightful reports for Director‑level audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver safe, resident‑focused services
  • Drive continuous improvement, performance management, and service innovation
  • Support and manage staff to uphold excellent service delivery standards

The successful Compliance and Safety Service Manager will have:

  • Significant housing-sector experience - essential
    Extensive experience managing gas, electrical, water hygiene, and asbestos compliance
  • Ideally qualified with P902 (Water Hygiene) and P405 (Asbestos Management)
  • Proven experience writing high‑quality reports for senior/Director-level audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships
