Contentious Construction Lawyer

A leading construction disputes team is seeking a senior Contentious Construction Lawyer to join their Leeds office as a Managing Associate / Legal Director. This is a high-profile role for an experienced lawyer to lead on complex construction disputes, manage client relationships, and provide leadership within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act on contentious construction matters for a broad range of clients, including developers, landlords, tenants, and public or private sector bodies

  • Provide strategic advice under standard and bespoke construction contracts

  • Lead complex dispute resolution, adjudications, arbitration, and litigation

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior lawyers and support staff

  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management

The Candidate

  • Qualified solicitor with 7+ years' PQE in contentious construction law

  • Strong technical knowledge of construction law and dispute resolution

  • Proven leadership and people management skills

  • Commercially aware, proactive, and confident in building client relationships
