My client is seeking an experienced solicitor (or equivalent) to provide support in relation to a critical part of the Council's Improvement Recovery Programme. This role is to carry out a review of existing Deeds in relation to the Trusts & Charity portfolio, and the individual will need to work at pace.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis. Candidates must be able to get to offices in central Birmingham 2/3 days per week.
The experienced lawyer will lead and deliver a structured review of the Council's charity related property deeds, including determining the charitable status of approximately 117 charitable gifts of land and property.
The role will ensure that Council is ready to properly discharge its duties as trustee or custodian trustee, maintain full compliance with the Charities Act and deliver a clear understanding of the Councils charitable land and property holdings.
