Sellick Partnership is seeking a skilled and motivated Disrepair Technical Officer to join a dedicated Property Services Team in South East London.

You will be responsible for inspecting properties affected by disrepair concerns, diagnosing building defects, preparing clear and accessible expert reports, and ensuring that all required works are carried out to the highest standard

Duties of the Disrepair Surveyor role includes:

  • Carrying out detailed inspections of properties across housing stock, including managed homes, leasehold properties, and private sector dwellings
  • Using building pathology techniques to identify root causes of disrepair.
  • Producing high‑quality expert reports, including photographs, findings, and HHSRS scoring
  • Preparing accurate specifications of works required to resolve disrepair issues
  • Overseeing repair works from instruction to completion, ensuring standards, materials, workmanship, and health & safety requirements are met
  • Monitoring progress, identifying variances, and recommending corrective action where necessary.
  • Conducting post‑inspections to confirm completion and satisfaction
  • Uploading all inspection data and reports to the repairs management system
  • Use the National Housing Federation Schedule of Rates (M3) when booking works and managing financial/budget responsibilities for direct labour and subcontractor partners

We're looking for a Disrepair Surveyor who is:

  • Skilled in identifying and diagnosing complex building defects
  • Experienced in ensuring compliance with construction, H&S and housing legislation (including CDM)
  • Comfortable working independently, managing their own caseload, and meeting KPIs
