Employment Associate / Senior Associate

Sellick Partnership are excited to be working with a national Chambers and Legal 500 ranked firm in Manchester City Centre who are looking for an Employment Associate/Senior Associate to join their team.

This is an exciting time to join one of the leading employment teams in the North as they look to expand.

You can expect to be fully involved in representing a great client base, from SMEs to PLCs, across a range of sectors including retail, sport, manufacturing, financial services, industrial services and healthcare.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing for employment tribunal cases, including preparation of Claims, Responses and Employment Tribunal Applications.
  • Advocacy in Employment Tribunals.
  • Providing day-to-day support to HR teams as an integral member of the client's service delivery team.
  • HR project work on restructurings, redundancies and TUPE matters.
  • Drafting correspondence to the Employment Tribunal, opposing solicitors, witnesses, ACAS and clients.
  • Providing general employment law advice, including disciplinary investigations, grievance procedures, redundancy programmes, flexible working requests, maternity and paternity rights, and other employment-related matters.
  • Corporate support work.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Be attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to accept new challenges.
  • Possess strong commercial awareness.
  • Have a first-class academic background and excellent training record.
  • Show enthusiasm and a desire to develop and grow the business.
