A growing family law team is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their practice in either Milton Keynes or Northampton. This is a senior position for a lawyer with strong family law experience in private practice, offering the opportunity to manage a substantive caseload and support clients through complex matters with a client-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
Advise on a broad range of family law matters, including matrimonial finances, trusts of land disputes, and child arrangements
Manage cases from initial instruction through to conclusion
Conduct meetings with clients both in person and remotely
Prepare and issue correspondence and documentation
Supervise and mentor trainees and junior team members
Attend court hearings, client appointments, and other external meetings as required
Maintain accurate time recording and billing according to targets
The Candidate
5+ PQE in private practice family law
Proven experience advising on complex family matters
Excellent organisational and case management skills
Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise work, and use initiative
