Sellick Partnership is pleased to be supporting a major retailer in their search for a Head of Legal to join them on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to join the company at a pivotal time as they continue to expand within the UK and internationally.

The successful solicitor will work closely with the CEO, CFO, and Business Directors on a range of legal matters across the wider group.

You will work on a variety of legal matters, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial contracts, including supplier, licensing and distribution agreements, as well as consumer-facing terms and conditions.
  • Ensuring all commercial contracts comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and internal company policies.
  • Managing dispute resolution and litigation matters, including representing the Company in court where required, to achieve commercially sound and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Drafting, reviewing and maintaining internal policies, customer-facing terms and conditions, and precedent documentation as needed.
  • Protecting, managing and enforcing the Group's intellectual property rights.
  • Researching and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting the Group, including data protection, intellectual property, advertising, employment, regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
  • Providing legal advice across the Group on commercial matters, advertising and marketing, intellectual property, privacy and data protection, B2C issues, and ad-hoc legal risk queries.
  • Developing and delivering legal guidance, training materials and resources for teams across the business.
