Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a valued, vibrant and forward- thinking public sector organisation based in Yorkshire who are seeking an interim Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer to join them on a locum basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 5x Officers
  • Take the strategic lead on all matters of Information Governance including Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Records Management
  • Undertake the statutory role of the Data Protection Officer
  • Provide a robust Information Governance framework of policies, procedures, toolkits and guidance
  • Manage and have oversight of a caseload of high risk and sensitive information governance matters, including data security incidents, data protection impact assessments, data sharing and data processing agreements and statutory information requests
  • Provide written and verbal advice, briefing notes and reports to senior officers, the Authority and its committees
  • Prepare and present bespoke training to Elected Members and officers as required

Our client is seeking someone with a strong information governance background, ideally from the public sector.

Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered. We are seeking someone who is available to start by the end of April.
