Overview of the Insolvency & Corporate Recovery Solicitor role

Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working with a leading regional law firm as they look to appoint an Insolvency & Corporate Recovery Solicitor to join their established team based in Leicester.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside highly experienced practitioners, advising a broad range of clients including insolvency practitioners, individuals, directors, stakeholders, SMEs and large national and international organisations. The role offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters, providing an excellent platform for career development within a supportive and collaborative team.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload involving corporate recovery, restructuring and insolvency litigation while receiving ongoing mentoring, professional development and genuine opportunities for progression.

Key responsibilities of the Insolvency & Corporate Recovery Solicitor will include

  • Advising insolvency practitioners, businesses and individuals on a wide range of insolvency and corporate recovery matters.

  • Managing both contentious and non-contentious insolvency cases.

  • Advising on corporate restructuring and recovery matters.

  • Handling insolvency-related litigation and disputes.

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through high-quality legal advice and excellent client care.

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on complex and high-value matters.

  • Supporting business development initiatives and helping to grow the profile of the team.

Required experience of the Insolvency & Corporate Recovery Solicitor position will include

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in Insolvency, Corporate Recovery or Commercial Litigation.

  • Previous litigation experience is desirable.

  • Experience of corporate restructuring and advisory work would be advantageous.

  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.

  • Excellent communication, client care and relationship management skills.

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.

  • A proactive, collaborative approach and a genuine desire to develop your career within this specialist area.
