We are currently working with a specialist corporate law practice seeking an experienced Corporate Junior Partner to join its team. With an established track record of advising businesses, business owners, management teams, investors and lenders, the firm is looking for a corporate lawyer ready to take the next step in their career and assume greater responsibility for clients, transactions and the development of colleagues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded solicitor to lead corporate transactions, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of an established corporate practice, while continuing to benefit from the support and guidance of experienced senior lawyers.
The role offers flexible working arrangements, with hybrid and home-working options available across the Midlands.
Taking day-to-day ownership of corporate transactions for business owners, investors and their advisers, leading matters from instruction through to completion.
Advising clients clearly and practically on commercial and legal risks, providing commercially focused guidance throughout transactions.
Supervising matters and supporting the development and progression of more junior colleagues.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers and professional advisers, acting as a trusted day-to-day contact.
Contributing to business development by strengthening existing relationships and helping to develop new clients and referrers.
Supporting the continued growth of the corporate practice through high-quality client delivery, team collaboration and colleague support.
Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver a collaborative and effective service to clients.
8+ years' PQE or equivalent relevant experience.
Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with strong experience managing corporate transactions for private business clients.
Sound commercial judgement and the ability to manage transactions, competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
Experience supporting or supervising more junior lawyers.
Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust with business owners, investors and professional advisers.
A commercial, practical and clear communication style, with the confidence to take ownership of matters and client relationships.
A collaborative and ambitious approach, with the willingness to learn from senior colleagues while taking on broader responsibility.
An interest in business development and contributing to the growth and profile of the corporate practice. An existing client following is welcome but not essential.
This is an excellent step-up opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer looking to take greater ownership of transactions, client relationships and team development while working alongside established senior lawyers.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build their professional profile, strengthen existing client and referrer relationships, develop new business and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the corporate practice.
Flexible working arrangements are available, including hybrid and home working, with opportunities across the Midlands, Cardiff and Bristol. A competitive package will be offered, reflecting the experience and capabilities of the successful candidate.
The firm welcomes applications from candidates whose experience demonstrates an equivalent level of capability, even where their career path differs from the profile outlined above.
If you are an experienced corporate solicitor looking to take the next step in your career, assume greater responsibility for clients and transactions, and contribute to the development of a growing corporate practice, we would be pleased to hear from you.
