Overview of the Lead Pricing & Modelling Analyst role

We are currently partnered with a leading General Insurance organisation based in the Midlands who are looking for an experienced Lead Pricing & Modelling Analyst to join their Personal Lines Pricing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical pricing professional to support the development, enhancement and maintenance of General Insurance pricing models, helping deliver accurate, predictive and fair pricing outcomes for customers.

Key responsibilities of the Lead Pricing & Modelling Analyst will include

• Develop, enhance and maintain General Insurance pricing models
• Undertake pricing analysis, performance monitoring and model validation
• Analyse complex data to support informed pricing decisions
• Work closely with Pricing and Underwriting stakeholders
• Support improvements to rating structures and analytical processes
• Contribute to pricing strategy and wider business improvement initiatives

Required experience/qualifications of the Lead Pricing & Modelling Analyst position will include

• Experience working within Pricing, Data Science or a similar analytical environment
• Knowledge of pricing analysis, modelling techniques and statistical analysis
• Experience analysing, monitoring and validating complex data
• Experience using R, Emblem or Python
• Experience with SQL or Radar is desirable
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive, curious and continuous-improvement mindset

Experience within General Insurance pricing and modelling would be highly beneficial, although relevant pricing, analytics or data science experience from other financial services environments will also be considered.
