Interim Management Accountant
Salary: Competitive
Contract: Interim (ASAP to September 2026, potential to become permanent)
Location: Hybrid with travel to schools
Reporting to: CFOO
About the Organisation
This is a growing Multi Academy Trust bringing together a number of schools across England. The Trust supports each school to maintain its individual identity while providing central expertise and structure to enable improvement and long-term sustainability. The organisation is at an early stage of development, with a small but growing group of schools, several thousand pupils, and a large staff base, with further growth planned.
The Role
This is a newly created interim position with responsibility for leading financial management across the Trust during a key period of development. Working closely with the CFOO and school leaders, you will provide both strategic and operational financial support. You will ensure strong financial control, deliver effective budgeting and forecasting, and produce high-quality reporting. The role combines strategic input with hands-on delivery and process improvement, and may become permanent for the right candidate.

The role is primarily home-based with regular travel to schools, currently within one region, with scope to expand as the organisation grows. The structure is evolving, offering flexibility, autonomy and the opportunity to shape how the function develops.
