An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Employment Solicitor to join an established and growing Employment team based in Luton.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer looking to build a strong foundation in employment law within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will gain exposure to a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while working alongside experienced employment specialists on high-quality cases.

The Opportunity

You will play an active role in supporting clients across a variety of employment law matters, developing your technical expertise and client management skills from the outset.

The role offers exposure to a full range of employment law issues, including Employment Tribunal claims, disciplinary and grievance matters, employment contracts, settlement agreements, redundancy processes and workplace policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters
  • Supporting Employment Tribunal cases from instruction through to resolution
  • Drafting witness statements, pleadings, contracts and other employment documentation
  • Undertaking legal research and providing practical, commercially focused advice
  • Managing your own caseload with increasing autonomy as your experience develops
  • Maintaining accurate file management and supporting billing processes
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting networking and business development initiatives
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider business

About You

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor with a genuine interest in Employment Law
  • Strong communication, drafting and organisational skills
  • Commercially aware with a practical and solutions-focused approach
  • Confident building relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive, motivated and eager to develop technical expertise
  • Ambitious and keen to progress within a growing practice
