We are currently working with a well-established and highly respected regional law firm that is looking to appoint an Employment Solicitor to join its growing Employment team based in Luton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor through to around 4 years' PQE to join a supportive and collaborative team, advising a diverse client base on a broad range of employment law matters. The Role
As an Employment Solicitor, you will manage your own varied caseload while working alongside experienced colleagues on more complex matters. You will advise both employers and employees across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied caseload of employment law matters with an appropriate level of autonomy.
- Advising clients on disciplinary and grievance procedures, dismissals, discrimination, redundancy, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, and settlement agreements.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and other employment documentation.
- Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings where appropriate.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice tailored to clients' objectives.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through exceptional client service.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the Employment team.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm to deliver outstanding legal solutions.
The Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Solicitor with NQ-4 years' PQE in Employment Law.
- Experience of advising on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach to work.
- The ability to manage matters independently while working effectively as part of a team.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients' objectives.
- A commitment to delivering high standards of client care and developing long-term relationships.
