About the Role

My client is a leading mutual organisation looking for an experienced Pricing Development Manager to join their specialist Pricing team during a major transformation programme.

The role will lead a technical team responsible for the design, development and deployment of pricing algorithms into live environments. You will combine strong technical pricing expertise with people leadership, working closely with Pricing, Underwriting, IT and wider business stakeholders to deliver high-quality pricing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and deployment of pricing algorithms into live environments.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery from development and testing through to production.
  • Lead, coach and develop a specialist team of pricing developers.
  • Review technical outputs and ensure high standards of quality, accuracy and governance.
  • Manage competing priorities and coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Work closely with Pricing, Underwriting, IT and wider business stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing tools, processes and ways of working.
  • Support pricing governance, audit requirements and wider transformation initiatives.

Experience & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong technical experience within a pricing development environment.
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying pricing algorithms into live environments.
  • Experience using RADAR or equivalent programming languages, alongside SQL or similar data tools.
  • Strong knowledge of code review, testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines.
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement.
