Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced Pricing Manager to join a leading insurance organisation on a permanent basis.

Overview of the Pricing Manager role

A leading insurance organisation is looking for an experienced Pricing Manager to join its Pricing Portfolio team. The role will lead pricing activity across a Home Insurance portfolio, with responsibility for financial performance, underwriting strategy and long-term portfolio profitability.

You will lead a team of pricing analysts and work closely with pricing, underwriting and wider business teams to deliver profitable growth and develop pricing capability.

Key responsibilities of the Pricing Manager:

• Lead pricing activity across the Home Insurance portfolio, delivering financial and underwriting targets.

• Deliver pricing analysis and initiatives to improve underwriting performance and support profitable growth.

• Identify segmentation and underwriting opportunities to improve portfolio performance.

• Develop robust pricing and rate-relativity review processes to optimise conversion and profitability.

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of pricing analysts.

• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across pricing, underwriting and the wider business.

The ideal Pricing Manager will have:

• Strong experience in pricing within personal lines insurance.

• Experience applying risk premium models and delivering financial targets.

• Strong commercial understanding of the personal lines insurance market.

• Experience with pricing technologies such as Radar, Databricks, Emblem, machine learning or equivalent.

• Previous experience managing or developing junior team members.

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

• Home Insurance pricing experience is desirable, although other personal lines backgrounds may be considered.

• Knowledge of pricing optimisation and responsible AI would be advantageous.
