Principal Lawyer- Health & Adult Social Care

The Role:

We are seeking a Principal Lawyer to lead a team delivering high-quality legal advice primarily in Community Care and Litigation matters.

You will:

  • Lead and manage a team of lawyers handling complex and sensitive cases.
  • Provide specialist legal advice to public sector clients, including senior officers and elected members.
  • Represent clients in courts, tribunals and negotiations where required.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory duties, particularly within health and adult social care law.
  • Develop strong client relationships and support service development and new business opportunities.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop colleagues while maintaining excellent standards of client care.

About You:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive legal professional with strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality public sector legal services. You will be a qualified lawyer with substantial experience within adult social care and mental health alongside previous management responsibilities.
