Role: Procurement Officer
Type: Interim contract (initial 6 months, strong potential to become permanent)
Salary: c£22 per hour - £39,862 - £42,839 pa, pro rata for part-time

Hybrid: Hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week in office)
Location: Warwickshire

The role can either be part-time at 29.6 hours per week (over 4 or 5 days) or full-time, 37 hours per week

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a public sector organisation in Warwickshire to recruit a Procurement Officer on an interim basis, with strong potential for the role to become permanent.

This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional looking to develop their experience within a structured public sector environment, supporting a varied procurement workload and contributing to service improvement.

The responsibilities of the Procurement Officer will include:

  • Supporting end-to-end procurement activity, including assisting with tender exercises and documentation
  • Working with stakeholders to ensure procurement processes are followed and compliant
  • Assisting with evaluation processes and contract award activity
  • Supporting supplier engagement and contract management activities
  • Contributing to the maintenance of procurement records, systems, and contract registers
  • Undertaking basic spend analysis to support cost-saving and efficiency initiatives
  • Providing advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement processes where required
  • Supporting general procurement administration, including FOI responses and website updates

The ideal candidate for the Procurement Officer role will have:

  • Experience within procurement, ideally in a public sector or regulated environment
  • Understanding of procurement processes and tendering activity
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good analytical and organisational abilities
  • Working towards or willing to work towards a CIPS qualification
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
