Role: Regional Finance Business Partner - Secondary

Location: Sheffield (2 days) / Derby (2 days) / 1 day from home

Type: Permanent

Salary: £50,269 - £55,803


Sellick Partnership are supporting an Academy Trust to recruit a Regional Finance Business Partner supporting their Secondary schools.

This is a commercially focused role working closely with Headteachers and senior leaders, leading on financial planning, reporting and performance across the portfolio.


Key responsibilities:

  • Lead 3-year budgeting and financial forecasting

  • Produce and review monthly management accounts

  • Monitor budgets, analyse variances and advise on actions

  • Partner with Headteachers on financial planning and decision-making

  • Lead finance review meetings with academy leadership teams

  • Support year-end processes and external audits

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and Trust policies

  • Oversee financial systems and drive consistency across academies

  • Support procurement and contract value for money

  • Mentor and support finance staff within schools


Key requirements:

  • Part-qualified accountant (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and management accounts

  • Experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust or secondary school environment

  • Confident stakeholder management and ability to challenge

  • Strong Excel and financial systems experience (PS Financial desirable)

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
