Modern Slavery Act Statement

Anti-slavery and human trafficking statement

Introduction

We are committed to continuously improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking. Compliance is at the heart of everything we do and through our membership of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) and our close relationship with a host of professional advisors we ensure that we meet all our legal and ethical requirements.

Organisation's structure

We are a provider of professional services recruitment in the United Kingdom and operate in the Finance & Accountancy, Legal, HR, Actuarial, Procurement, Change & Transformation and Housing & Property Services sectors. The Company has approximately 104 employees (as at February 2023) based in seven offices across the UK.

Our business

Our business structure in the UK is simple, it is privately owned and consists of one holding Company (Sellick Partnership Group Limited) and one trading subsidiary (Sellick Partnership Limited) with six Statutory Directors. Since 12 April 2019 our UK parent company is controlled by a private company registered in France called SAMSIC SAS.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chain or in any part of our business. Our Anti-Slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. We implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chain.

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we perform detailed background checks on our entire contractor population which includes confirmation of identification and verification of the right to work in the UK. We ensure to review the Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statements of every member of our supply chain where applicable.

We have in place systems to:

  • Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chain.
  • Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chain.
  • Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chain.
  • Protect whistle blowers.

Supplier adherence to our values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. To ensure all those in our supply chain and contractors comply with our values we have in place a supply chain compliance programme. We perform detailed background checks on our entire contractor population which includes confirmation of identification and verification of the right to work in the UK. We ensure to review the Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statements of every member of our supply chain where applicable.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain and our business, we have an Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy that has been issued to all existing employees and is included in the induction material of all new employees.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.
