Sellick Partnership recently attended the Yorkshire Graduate Recruitment Fair at Leeds University with the intention of scouting out the top talent in Yorkshire.
We are always looking for bright, switched-on graduates to come and work for us. Sellick Partnership have ambitious growth plans over the coming months; we want to be ahead of the game and seek out the cream de le crème of graduates to join us on our journey.
On the day, we had informative handouts about the recruitment industry as a whole, what's involved when you're training with us, and how you can progress during your career. We also highlighted what Sellick Partnership are looking for and what we can offer our trainees, which really helped the graduates to qualify themselves and to look at their suitability when considering a career recruitment.
We had chocolates, cupcakes and a 'beat the buzzer' game which turned a lot of heads! The game gave the opportunity for participants to win a bottle of champagne and it proved an excellent way to attract graduates to our stand.
As the day progressed and many conversations with the graduates were had, it's still apparent that recruitment is an untapped career choice when it comes to graduates looking at their options.
I believe it's an education in itself discussing what recruitment is and what potential and possibilities this career path could bring. There is definitely still a lot of work to do in educating graduates about recruitment as a serious career option. Recruitment is such a huge, highly lucrative industry - however graduates still don't know enough about it, some were sceptical and put recruitment in the same bracket as the car sales industry or a job as a double glazing salesman.
We want to change this and recruitment needs to have a higher profile for graduates initially looking at their career options.
It was a highly successful day and one we're eager to repeat in the near future. If you know any graduates who are considering their future career options or if you're a graduate yourself and would like more information, please contact me on 0161 834 1642 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
