Role: Exchequer Services Assistant
Type: 3 to 6 Month Contract
Salary: PAYE: £13 to £15 per hour or LTD / Umbrella: £16.50 to £18 per hour
Hybrid: Ideally 1 to 2 days per week in the office
Location: Leicestershire

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a local authority organisation in Leicestershire to recruit an Exchequer Services Assistant on a temp contract.

The responsibilities of the Exchequer Services Assistant will include:

  • Providing transactional finance support across income processing, payments, payroll support and reconciliations
  • Allocating and reconciling income accurately across multiple systems and accounts
  • Supporting routine and month-end reconciliations, including bank, payroll and creditor control accounts
  • Assisting with the administration of debtor accounts and supplier payment processes
  • Supporting the use and maintenance of finance and e-purchasing systems
  • Handling finance related queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Offering flexible support across the finance team during busy periods.

The ideal candidate for the Exchequer Services Assistant role will have:

  • A background in transactional finance, income, payments or exchequer services
  • Experience working with financial systems and strong Excel capability
  • Exposure to reconciliations, income allocation or supplier payments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work well within a team environment.
