An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Associate to join a highly regarded Top 100 law firm with a nationally recognised Corporate team.

This award-winning practice is known for advising ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and management teams on a broad range of corporate transactions. The team enjoys an excellent reputation in the market and continues to attract high-quality work across mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, investments and general corporate advisory matters.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers while developing your own client relationships and progressing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

You will work on a wide variety of corporate matters, taking responsibility for your own transactions while supporting on larger and more complex deals.

Typical work will include:

  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Business sales and purchases
  • Corporate restructurings
  • Shareholder agreements
  • Partnership agreements
  • Fundraising and investment transactions
  • Corporate governance and advisory matters
  • General company law advice

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing your own corporate transactions and client matters
  • Supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value deals
  • Drafting and negotiating transactional documentation
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Providing commercially focused legal advice
  • Assisting with business development and networking initiatives
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team where appropriate
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the department

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Approximately 3-5 years' PQE within Corporate law
  • Experience advising on a range of corporate transactions
  • Strong technical ability and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Proactive and organised approach to managing matters
  • Interest in business development and networking activities
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
