Corporate Associate Solicitor (3-5 PQE)
Location: Birmingham - Hybrid Working
Contract: Permanent
Sellick Partnership is delighted to be working with a leading international law firm as they look to appoint a Corporate Associate (3-5 PQE) to join their growing Corporate team in Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded practice with a strong pipeline of work across mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and other complex corporate transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with highly respected partners and senior lawyers on a range of high-profile domestic and cross-border matters, whilst playing an active role in developing client relationships and supporting business growth.
The team advises a diverse client base including multinational corporations, private equity investors, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and emerging businesses. With excellent quality work, clear progression opportunities, and a collaborative working environment, this is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious corporate lawyer looking to take the next step in their career.
Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, restructurings, joint ventures, and general corporate matters.
Managing transaction workstreams and supporting partners on complex domestic and international deals.
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents and ancillary agreements.
Providing commercially focused legal advice to a varied client base across multiple sectors.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, intermediaries and other professional advisers.
Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the Corporate team.
Managing matters efficiently to ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently met.
Maintaining accurate financial records, including time recording, billing and management of work in progress.
Keeping technical knowledge up to date and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Qualified Solicitor with between 3 and 5 years' post-qualification experience.
Strong experience in corporate law, particularly M&A, private equity and/or equity capital markets transactions.
A demonstrable track record of advising on complex corporate matters.
Experience gained within a recognised international, national or leading regional law firm.
Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic, business-focused advice.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Strong academic credentials and a proactive approach to professional development.
Experience working on international or cross-border matters would be advantageous.
