Disputes Partner

A rare and strategic opportunity has arisen for a Disputes Partner (or ambitious Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step up) to join a growing Top 50 national law firm as they launch their new office in Milton Keynes.

This is a growth-focused hire with the opportunity to help establish and shape the firm's regional Disputes presence. With a strong national footprint, modern infrastructure and a commercially driven culture, the firm offers an agile, forward-thinking platform designed to support ambitious lawyers with business development drive and client relationships.

The Role - What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and build the Disputes practice in Milton Keynes, supported by a national network of litigators across commercial, property, insolvency, employment, corporate and regulatory disciplines.

• Advise on a broad range of contentious matters, including:

  • Commercial contract, shareholder and partnership disputes

  • Professional negligence claims

  • Property litigation and real estate disputes

  • Insolvency, director liability and breach of fiduciary duty claims

  • Civil fraud, regulatory investigations and high-value commercial litigation

• Develop and maintain client relationships across sectors including real estate, financial services, manufacturing, technology, retail and professional services.

• Collaborate across the firm's national departments to maximise cross-referral and full-service opportunities.

• Support recruitment, mentor junior lawyers and help grow the local team as the office expands.

• Represent the firm at regional networking events, litigation forums and industry partnerships.

About You

• Established Disputes/Litigation Partner, or Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step into partnership.

• Strong technical experience in commercial litigation, property litigation, insolvency litigation or broader dispute resolution.

• Proven business development capability, ideally with a modest following or client relationships.

• Entrepreneurial and commercially minded, motivated by the opportunity to shape and grow a new office presence.

• Collaborative, client-focused, and confident in managing high-value and complex disputes.
