A leading law firm is seeking a Legal Associate to join its specialist Employment team, focusing on innovative and high-growth businesses.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with start-ups, scale-ups and fast-growth organisations across sectors such as technology and life sciences. You will advise on a broad range of employment and talent-related matters, both in the UK and internationally, while developing strong, long-term client relationships.

The position is well suited to a junior to mid-level lawyer who is keen to broaden their technical expertise, take increasing ownership of client matters, and play an active role in the growth of a specialist practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising businesses on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters

  • Supporting clients on global talent, workforce and HR issues

  • Assisting on employment aspects of early-stage investment and growth transactions

  • Working closely with entrepreneurial clients and their advisers

  • Taking increasing responsibility for client relationships

  • Contributing to the development and growth of a specialist employment practice

Key requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with up to 4 years' experience in employment law

  • Strong drafting, advisory and communication skills

  • Interest in working with innovative, fast-growth businesses

  • Ability to manage workload independently in a client-facing role

  • Commercial, pragmatic and proactive approach

  • Willingness to collaborate across teams and locations
