We are currently working with a top-tier Legal 500 ranked firm that is looking for a talented Professional Support Lawyer to join their Employment & Immigration team at either of their offices in Bath, Bristol, Swindon, or Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Employment law professional to join an award-winning and supportive team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Keep the department's legal documents, templates, and guidance up to date and easy for staff to access.
  • Share important legal updates, case law, and changes in the law with the team through summaries and training sessions (in-person and online).
  • Watch for trends and changes in the legal industry and advise the team on how they might affect the department.
  • Help create content for workshops, webinars, and seminars on legal topics and skills, working with the Marketing and Business Development team.
  • Take part in giving presentations and training, sharing knowledge and practical advice.
  • Support department and firm-wide projects, taking responsibility for specific tasks or areas.
  • Understand how the team measures success (KPIs) and know how your work contributes to those goals.
  • Stay current with legal developments and suggest new services or improvements to help grow the department.

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with proven experience in an Employment Law team.

  • 5+ years PQE in legal practice.

  • Background in legal knowledge management, training, or professional support roles is an advantage.

  • In-depth understanding of employment law and related legal areas, with the ability to analyse and explain complex legal concepts.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present legal information in a clear and engaging manner.

  • Experience in developing and delivering engaging training sessions, workshops, or seminars.

  • Excellent analytical thinking and a sharp eye for detail when reviewing legal content and processes.

  • Well-organised and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.

  • Strong team player with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments and with external clients.

  • Confident using legal research tools, document management systems, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
