Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded law firm seeking an Employment Solicitor to join its specialist employment team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, advising a diverse client base while developing your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will manage Employment Tribunal matters from start to finish, provide commercial employment advice to clients, and support corporate transactions on employment-related issues.
Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instructions through to final hearings
Preparing and drafting Employment Tribunal documentation, including Claims, Responses, Lists of Issues, Witness Statements, Skeleton Arguments and settlement approval applications
Representing clients at Case Management and Preliminary Hearings
Drafting correspondence with Employment Tribunals, ACAS, clients and opposing solicitors
Advising clients on employment contracts, workplace policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy processes and family-friendly rights
Supporting corporate transactions by providing TUPE advice, undertaking employment due diligence and reviewing indemnities
Building and maintaining strong client relationships through practical, commercially focused advice
Qualified Solicitor with experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law
Strong technical knowledge of employment legislation and Employment Tribunal procedure
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to client advice
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Up-to-date knowledge of legal developments, case law and employment legislation
