I am working with a key client of mine, a boutique family law firm based in Bournemouth, recognised in the Legal 500 for their expertise and client-focused approach.

As an Investors in People Platinum accredited firm, they are committed to excellence, professional development, and creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where people can thrive.

They are looking for a Family Paralegal to join their specialist family law team. This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal looking to develop their career within a high-quality practice, working closely with experienced family solicitors on a varied and interesting caseload.

Family Paralegal Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting fee earners with a broad range of private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedies, private children matters, and cohabitation disputes

  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms

  • Managing files from inception to conclusion under supervision

  • Conducting legal research and preparing bundles for court hearings

  • Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and other professionals in a professional and empathetic manner

  • Ensuring files are maintained in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements

What could make you stand out?

  • Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant within family law (essential) 1+ years experience

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • A client-focused and empathetic approach

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in family law
