A well-established regional law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Associate Solicitor to join its Family team.

The Role

This position offers the opportunity to manage a varied private family law caseload while supporting the continued growth of a well-regarded team. The role would suit a confident solicitor who is comfortable working autonomously, delivering high-quality client care, and contributing to business development activity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a busy and diverse family law caseload

  • Advising clients on a range of private family matters, including divorce, financial remedy and children issues

  • Delivering a consistently high standard of client service

  • Preparing court documentation and attending hearings, mediations and meetings as required

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm

  • Supporting junior team members where appropriate

  • Contributing to marketing, networking and business development initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in private family law

  • Ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong organisational, communication and drafting skills

  • Confident and professional client-facing approach

  • Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset

  • Experience contributing to business development and networking activities

Desirable:

  • Experience handling complex financial or children matters

  • Advocacy or court attendance experience

  • Familiarity with modern case management systems
