An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded and growing Family team with an excellent reputation for handling complex private family matters.

This established practice is recognised for its expertise across both financial remedy and children work, acting for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, professionals and families on a wide range of complex and sensitive matters. The team is particularly well known for its work on high-value financial cases and complex children disputes, offering exposure to some of the most interesting family law work in the region.

The Role

Working closely with experienced senior lawyers, you will assist on a broad range of complex matters while also managing your own caseload of privately funded family work.

Typical matters will include:

  • Divorce and dissolution proceedings
  • Financial remedy matters
  • High-net-worth financial disputes
  • Cases involving pensions, trusts and family businesses
  • Property and asset portfolio disputes
  • Pre and post-nuptial agreements
  • Cohabitation disputes
  • Schedule 1 Children Act applications
  • Private children matters
  • Internal and international relocation disputes
  • Domestic abuse matters

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting on complex financial and children matters
  • Managing your own caseload of private family law matters
  • Providing empathetic and commercially focused advice to clients
  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting business development and networking initiatives
  • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Family team

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years' PQE in Family Law
  • Experience handling privately funded family matters
  • Strong knowledge of financial remedy and children work
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Strong drafting and organisational abilities
  • Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
  • Resolution membership or accreditation would be advantageous but is not essential
