Head of Finance required for one of our not for profit organisations based in Liverpool. The Head of Finance will lead the Team of 3 and be responsible for the collation and co-ordination of accurate and timely management accounts, development of financial statements, leading the budgeting and planning process, and management of the external audit process.

Key Responsibilities for the Head of Finance;

  • Oversee the work of the Finance Team with respect to financial control processes (sales ledger, purchase ledger, assets, VAT returns, coding accuracy and reconciliations etc.)
  • Support with the implementation of a new finance system
  • Responsible for financial reporting, including drafting annual financial statements.
  • Lead the Finance Team in providing excellent service to all stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate financial policies and processes are in place and underpinned by robust systems of internal financial control.
  • Lead on the budgeting processes.
  • To work proactively ensuring the efficient and effective deployment of our new finance system and realignment of processes as needed.

Required skills & experience for the Head of Finance;

  • Ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience in implementing or developing finance systems
  • Similar experience within a not for profit organisation
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel
