An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to lead and develop a new Private Client department within a well-established and expanding legal practice. This role offers a genuine opportunity to shape the department's future, build and mentor a team, and progress into partnership for the right candidate.

The Role
As Head of Private Client, you will lead the development and growth of the department, manage a varied caseload of complex matters, and provide strategic direction for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, build, and mentor the Private Client team
* Manage a full range of private client matters, including Wills, Trusts, Probate, Estate Administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Court of Protection
* Provide high-quality client care and service from initial instruction to completion
* Contribute to business development, networking, and marketing initiatives
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, and professional contacts
* Supervise junior solicitors, paralegals, and administrative staff
* Play a key role in shaping the future growth of the department

About You
* STEP Qualification (or working towards it)
* Minimum 10 years' PQE in private client matters
* Proven experience managing complex wills, probate, estate planning, and powers of attorney
* Ability to manage your own caseload independently
* Experience supervising and mentoring junior colleagues
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and business development skills
* Vision, leadership, and enthusiasm to build a successful department
