Role: Head of Procurement

Part-Time: 1 to 1.5 days a week

Type: 12 months contract (reviewed quarterly)

Salary: £450 to £500 per day (UMB)

Remote or Hybrid arrangements

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a local authority to recruit an experienced Head of Procurement on a temporary basis.

The responsibilities of the Head of Procurement will be:

  • Lead the review and redesign of the borough's substance misuse services.
  • Manage the procurement and tender process for a new provider.
  • Oversee mobilisation of the new service, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership throughout the project.

The ideal candidate for the Head of Procurement role will have:

  • Previous experience working within a local authority.
  • Proven track record in transforming drugs, alcohol, or substance misuse services.
  • Strong leadership and programme management skills.
  • Ability to manage procurement and service change with confidence.
