We are currently working with a Legal 500 ranked firm in Wokingham that is looking for a Litigation and Employment Legal Secretary to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning and supportive firm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver high-quality administrative and secretarial assistance to the Litigation and Employment teams.
  • Prepare, format, and review legal documents, letters, and court materials to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
  • Maintain and update case files, ensuring all records are well-organised and easily accessible.
  • Carry out accurate audio and copy typing of legal correspondence, documents, and transcriptions.
  • Oversee diary management, including arranging meetings and scheduling appointments for solicitors.
  • Track and coordinate key deadlines, court dates, and filings to support the smooth running of cases.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, barristers, and external contacts, ensuring excellent communication at all times.
  • Handle confidential information and sensitive legal issues with the utmost care and discretion.
  • Assist with a range of administrative tasks such as preparing reports, managing billing, and processing invoices.

The successful candidate:

  • Demonstrated background as a Legal Secretary, preferably within litigation or employment law settings.
  • Good grasp of legal language, court procedures, and managing legal documents efficiently.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle several tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in audio and copy typing, delivering fast and precise results.
  • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with a focus on excellent client interaction.
  • Experienced in coordinating solicitors' schedules, including arranging meetings and court appearances.
  • Comfortable working with contemporary legal software.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters responsibly and maintain strict privacy standards.
