Adult Social Care Lawyer

Attendance once per week and then court attendance as and when required
About the Role:
Sellick Partnership is looking for a Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a competent local authority on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected team.
Key Responsibilities of an Adult Social Care Lawyer:
a) The care act 2014 and its regulations, including, but not limited to, unpaid care home fees and charging, deprivation of assets, ordinary residence and safeguarding
b) Law in relation to Mental Capacity Act 2005 including deprivation of liberty in the Court of Protection, Re X applications, S16 and S21A applications
c) Law in relation to the Mental Health Act 1983, relating to applications for displacement of the nearest relative and appointments, associated court proceedings, conditional discharge of patients, S117 responsibility and the care and treatment regimens under the Act
