We are currently working with a well-regarded law firm that is looking to recruit a Post-Completions Paralegal to join their busy Commercial Real Estate team in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused paralegal to gain exposure to high-quality work within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The role offers responsibility, direct client contact, and structured training, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their legal career within commercial property.
The wider Commercial Real Estate team operates nationally and advises on a broad range of matters, including large-scale developments, investment acquisitions, social housing, landlord and tenant work, mixed-use developments, and work for academic institutions.
Manage all aspects of post-completions work, including SDLT submissions and land registration
Provide support and advice on SDLT matters, assisting with deal structuring where required
Prepare, submit, and monitor land registry applications
Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and the Land Registry
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with deadlines
Support fee earners across a variety of commercial real estate transactions
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider real estate team
A law degree or CILEx qualification (or be working towards one)
Previous experience in post-completions, SDLT, and land registration (essential)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Confidence in client-facing communications
A proactive, flexible, and problem-solving approach
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Commercial awareness and an understanding of fee earner priorities
