We are proud to have achieved Menopause Friendly Accreditation in recognition of the work undertaken to create a menopause friendly workplace across Sellick Partnership.

As a people-focused business, we recognise that menopause and perimenopause can affect confidence, wellbeing and working life in different ways. We also understand that support should not sit only with those experiencing symptoms directly.

The accreditation reflects our commitment to creating a culture where menopause is openly talked about, never treated as a taboo subject, and supported through practical action, education and understanding.

What is the Menopause Friendly Accreditation?

Established in 2021 by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, the Menopause Friendly Accreditation certifies high standards and proven practices and is an industry-recognised mark of excellence.

To achieve accreditation, Sellick Partnership was assessed by an Independent Panel and demonstrated effectiveness across:

  • Culture
  • Policies and practices
  • Training
  • Engagement
  • The working environment

Our journey towards accreditation

Our journey began with training delivered by Henpicked, which reinforced that support does not need to be complicated to be meaningful.

Dedicated management training was followed by wider sessions for all staff, raising awareness of menopause and perimenopause across the business.

This learning helped shape several menopause friendly actions that have had a positive impact across Sellick Partnership.

Creating a dedicated Menopause Project Team

Our Menopause Project Team has given the work focus, accountability and momentum.

The team has helped drive activity across the business, create resources, raise awareness and keep menopause support visible as part of our wider wellbeing and inclusion strategy.

Opening up conversations

The team has worked hard to normalise menopause and perimenopause as topics people can discuss openly and confidently.

This has helped reduce stigma and encouraged colleagues to better understand how menopause can affect people at work and beyond.

Providing practical resources and support

We have created resources and guidance to help colleagues navigate menopause and perimenopause with greater confidence.

These tools also equip colleagues to better support others, including their colleagues, friends and family, as well as the clients and candidates they work with.

The impact across Sellick Partnership

Creating a menopause friendly workplace has helped colleagues feel more confident talking about menopause and perimenopause, while giving managers and teams the knowledge to offer practical, meaningful support.

As a recruitment partner, this work also strengthens the conversations we have with clients and candidates around inclusive workplaces, employee wellbeing and the importance of creating environments where people feel supported at every stage of their career.

Daniella Pye, Associate Director and Lead of Sellick Partnership’s Menopause Project Team, said:

“We are incredibly proud to have achieved The Menopause Friendly Accreditation.Over the past 18 months, our Menopause Project Team has worked hard to create resources, support tools and awareness initiatives that help colleagues navigate menopause and perimenopause with confidence.

For us, this has always been about more than supporting those experiencing menopause directly. It is about helping everyone understand menopause better, so we can support our colleagues, clients, candidates, friends and family with greater empathy and awareness.

Menopause should never be a taboo topic in the workplace. By opening conversations, improving understanding and embedding practical support, we are building a culture where people feel valued, supported and able to thrive at every stage of their career.”

Deborah Garlick, CEO and Founder of Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, added:

“Huge congratulations are due to Sellick Partnership for achieving Menopause Friendly Accreditation.

The Independent Panel was impressed by its proactive and thoughtful approach, particularly the way they embedded menopause support into their wider people strategy. The leadership commitment, colleague engagement and focus on creating open conversations really stood out. This is a fantastic achievement and a strong foundation for lasting cultural change.”

Achieving Menopause Friendly Accreditation is an important milestone, but our work does not stop here. We will continue to keep conversations open, improve understanding and ensure colleagues have access to meaningful support.
