OUR CSR COMMITMENTS
CSR Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy stems naturally from our core values – and we are passionate about how our business can make a real, positive difference to the environment around us. Since our formation in 2002 we have worked with local and national charities, raising funds and supporting causes very close to our heart. As a business we are fully aware of the benefits that come with a well planned and executed CSR strategy, but we also want to show that we genuinely care about helping people – and we want our CSR strategy to demonstrate this. We help people find their dream career every day, but also recognise that it is equally as important to help others and support the communities where we work. We enjoy helping others and feel a great sense of pride when our people come together and help us celebrate and support worthwhile causes throughout the UK. Our CSR strategy Our CSR strategy is set out to ensure that we have guidelines in place for our internal and external activities, and incorporates our charity work, our dedication to personal development within the company and our promise to minimise our impact on the environment. Our CSR Committee – made up Sellick Partnership employees from all across the UK – governs our CSR activities and works closely with our Board of Directors to ensure our CSR activities are representative of us as a business and make a real difference across the UK. From our various sporting events and fundraising activities, to our commitment to spending time supporting the causes closest to us, we ensure that each employee at Sellick Partnership has the opportunity to give back in some way. To find out more about our current CSR initiatives please visit the dedicated CSR section of our website. Alternatively you can contact our CSR Committee directly by emailing csrcommittee@sellickpartnership.co.uk. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion We are also committed to being the most inclusive employer and recruitment partner we can be and have appointed a team of Diversity Champions for this. As a business we know first-hand the benefits of having a diverse workforce and try to ensure we are championing equality and diversity practices at every step. Our Diversity Champions work closely with our Board of Directors and the senior management team to ensure we are delivering a diversity strategy that includes, but is not limited to age, gender, ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation. Our diversity initiatives and strategies are designed to attract, develop, and advance the most talented individuals both internally and across our specialist areas. We provide our people with the training and tools they need to help increase their awareness and understanding of differences and why they matter, so their actions can contribute to our inclusive and high-performing workplace culture. In today’s society, it is important that recruitment processes do not judge on anything but merit alone and nobody should be penalised on any diverse traits such as the colour of their skin, sexual preference or gender. We work closely with our clients and candidates to try and tackle this within the sectors that we work and regularly comment on issues of diversity to try and raise important issues that still need to be addressed. To find out more about what our Diversity Champions are doing you can email them directly on diversitychampions@sellickpartnership.co.uk.

Sellick Partnership actively supports the community through a number of sporting initiatives, including two established football leagues, a cricket league and a range of events throughout the UK. These events provide professionals with the chance to network and build relationships, all whilst enjoying the benefits of exercise! The funds raised from our sporting events go to national and local charities such as St Ann’s Hospice, me&dee and The Lord’s Taverners, all of which Sellick Partnership has worked with for a number of years and have built strong relationships with. Manchester Professionals’ Cricket League (MPCL) Established in 2009 by Managing Director Jo Sellick, the Manchester Professionals’ Cricket League (MPCL) has now become a frequent fixture in the social calendar of professionals based in the area, providing them with an informal and fun platform to network. We have forged an excellent relationship with The Lord’s Taverners cricket charity, which aims to enhance the lives of children with disabilities to participate in the sport. Having raised in excess of £20,000 for the charity, Jo Sellick was elected to the The Lord’s Taverners Committee in 2012. Funds raised from the MPCL also go towards St Ann’s Hospice, another charity with whom Sellick Partnership have developed a strong bond with over the years. With games played from May to July culminating in our Finals day, the league has inspired individuals from over 50 firms to participate and continues to grow in popularity. If you would like to be involved in the league this year, please contact us. MPCL Charity Awards Lunch Each year the league closes with a Charity Awards Lunch – a delicious three course meal and awards ceremony which is held at the fabulous Lowry Hotel each year. This exciting event provides the opportunity for us to raise as much money as possible for the MPCL chosen charities, The Lord’s Taverners and St Ann’s Hospice. Each year, this event sees over 250 delegates from a variety of different companies come together for a day of networking and the chance to relax in an informal environment with their team, colleagues and other businesses from across Greater Manchester. We officially present the trophies to the winning teams, run a charity auction, and hear from some fantastic guest speakers. In the past we have heard from people such as Matthew Hoggard MBE, Bill Beaumont CBE, Geoff Miller OBE and Paul Allott. In 2019 for our 10th anniversary, we were delighted to welcome David ‘Bumble’ Lloyd and Paul Allott as guest speakers at the event. To find out more information on attending the lunch, please email marketing@sellickpartnership.co.uk and join the MPCL LinkedIn Group to keep up-to-date. Our CSR Committee Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is vitally important to us and we firmly believe that every employee should be able to have their input in the charities, causes and initiatives that we support. That is why we have appointed a CSR Committee who lead and champion our CSR strategy and initiatives on a daily basis. The elected volunteers that make up our Committee are all truly passionate about all aspects of CSR including fundraising, the environment and our sustainable development and are championing this across the business. As a responsible recruitment specialist, we are very aware of the communities in which we work, and have always been committed to assisting when and where we can. By appointing a formal Committee we have been able to streamline our process and ensure the CSR activities we are involved in have a positive impact across all of our regional offices. Our CSR Committee are responsible for choosing our companywide and regional charities, organising fundraising activities, contributing to our sustainable development and deciding on what we should be focusing on as a business to ensure we are helping the maximum number of people and causes that we can. So far this year, our CSR Committee has organised a companywide Step up Challenge, encouraging our people to get active, a number of fundraising events including Denim for Dementia and our weekly flower raffle. Each member of the business has also been given a half day paid annual leave to support a charity or cause of their choice.
