Importance of company values

Sellick Partnership’s company values are ‘Passionate’, ‘Respected’ and ‘Engaging’. In this blog I take a look at what these values mean to me:

Passionate – as a company we strive to be the best; it is hard to be the best without having the passion to excel and drive to reach your goals. Working for Sellick Partnership, I feel that their passions rest with sourcing, nurturing and growing talent. As a company we have been accredited with Investors in People Silver, having first been assessed in 2013, and further awarded the accreditation in 2016 and 2017. We have also been awarded Great Places to Work in 2015, 2017 and we have entered the 2018 accreditation.

Engaging – as a whole we engage with many stakeholders across the business, both on a personal level and professional level. As a company we have attended over 50 events in 2017, with lots more scheduled for 2018. We regularly host CDP’s which focus on relevant and current topics, and although minimum CDP points are a thing of past, we always have great interest in these types of events. We also attend local University events in order to help graduates with CV writing, interview preparation and application skills.

On a personal note, our Board of Directors are passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and encourage us as employees to give back to our communities. As a company we have raised significant amounts of money for local charities, and as employees we are encouraged to take the time to engage in community work. A number of my colleagues regularly take part in events such as: marathon running, all night ‘sleepouts’ and arranging regular donations for items needed for local homelesscharities. Working for a company that allows you to fulfil personal achievements as well as professional achievements is something that continually sets Sellick Partnership apart from other businesses, and ensures we continue to be an employer of choice.
