Last week Sellick Partnership hosted our first ever Legal Public Sector Pub Quiz, sponsored by 36 Civil. The quiz took place at the Inn of Court in Holborn and the night was a great success. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of those who were involved and helped in the organisation and of course those that attended the quiz to make it the triumph that it was!
The quiz had seven teams participating totalling around 50 Lawyers/legal staff working in public sector organisations throughout the South East. It was a great opportunity for our attendees to network with each other. They also got the opportunity to meet the Barristers from 36 Civil who undertake a lot of work on behalf of local authorities. Overall it was a great chance for those present on the evening to make new and useful business connections.
Starting with a drinks reception we took the opportunity to liaise with the arrivals regarding our charity raffle with three amazing prizes up-for-grabs. The money we raised on the night will go to the Grenfell Tower Appeal. Prizes included a bottle of champagne, a luxury hamper and £50 worth of John Lewis vouchers. All prizes were kindly donated by the Umbrella companies on our preferred supplier list including Danbro, Walker Smith Global and PayStream. Thank you for your kind donations allowing us to raise a massive £190 for the Appeal!
Our star of the evening was of course Jonathon Rushton, Head of Property at 36 Civil who was our exceptional Quiz Master for the evening! After seven rounds of quiz questions, one music round and a picture round we were pleased to announce the winners of the evening, “The Regenerators” who won a bottle of wine each to celebrate their victory! We hope everyone had a fantastic evening and we are already planning our next annual pub quiz for 2019! We are hoping to make it bigger and better for next year.
