Job Title: Building Control Surveyor x3 (Class 2 & Class 3)
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire, East Midlands

Duration: 6 Months Temporary, Start ASAP
Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience


We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Building Control Surveyors to join a Housing and Property team in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects that directly impact public safety and building compliance.

Key Responsibilities of the Building Control Surveyor include:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring that building works comply with relevant legislation and safety standards
  • Assessing building plans for compliance with Building Regulations
  • Conducting site inspections to monitor construction progress and standards
  • Responding to reports of dangerous structures and inspecting demolition sites
  • Enforcing compliance and recommending necessary changes
  • Advising on fire safety provisions and inspecting sports grounds and temporary structures
  • Providing guidance to professionals and the public on Building Control matters
  • Liaising with external agencies and internal departments
  • Maintaining accurate inspection records

Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Building Control candidate:

  • Fully qualified Building Inspector, registered with the BSR
  • Relevant Building Control experience
  • Strong knowledge of building construction and fire safety legislation
