Type: Temp - 3-6 months

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £12.50 per hour + holiday pay

Sellick Partnership are seeking a Business Support Assistant for our Public Sector client in Birmingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Business Support Administrator who is willing to support our client's purposeful movement that brings about positive sustainable change in people's lives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality business and financial support across a busy finance function
  • Process a range of financial transactions, including petty cash, orders, and payments to individuals and suppliers
  • Act as a first point of contact for finance queries via phone, email, and face-to-face
  • Support finance meetings and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
  • Administer finance systems and data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Carry out routine administrative tasks and maintain effective filing and information systems
  • Assist with incoming and outgoing post and monitor office and finance equipment needs

Key skills:

  • Attention to detail with an ability to work accurately, e.g., literacy and numeracy
  • Ability to work on own initiative with a proactive approach to all tasks to ensure business objectives are met
  • An ability to work flexibly as part of a diverse team environment, providing cover when needed to ensure continuity of service provision, and the ability to multitask to cover other roles within the team
  • Experience of working in a pressured environment, dealing with several conflicting and changing priorities effectively, to achieve business objectives
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages
