Sellick Partnership is working with a well-established and highly respected law firm in Manchester, seeking a Junior Construction Solicitor to join their expanding construction team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or early-career solicitor to develop a career in construction law, working closely with leading lawyers on a variety of high-quality matters across both contentious and non-contentious work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting on a broad range of construction matters, including:
Drafting and negotiating building contracts, appointments, and collateral warranties
Advising on standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.)
Supporting on disputes, adjudications, and litigation matters
Conducting legal research and preparing legal advice
Assisting with client meetings, correspondence, and ongoing case management
Working closely with senior team members on complex, high-value projects
Building strong client relationships and providing commercially sound advice
Supporting business development and networking efforts
About You:
Qualified Solicitor (0-3 years' PQE) or due to qualify with strong construction experience during training
Exposure to construction law (contentious and/or non-contentious) is desirable
Excellent drafting and analytical skills
A strong interest in developing a specialism in construction law
Commercially aware with a proactive, professional approach
A team player with excellent communication and client-care skills
