Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a highly ranked Legal 500 firm in Manchester, who are seeking a Contentious Construction Partner to join their expanding and highly regarded disputes team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with a strong reputation in the market and a robust pipeline of high-value construction disputes across the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading on a broad range of construction disputes, including adjudications, arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings, for a diverse client base including developers, contractors, consultants, and funders.

  • Advising on dispute resolution strategies, contractual claims, delay and disruption issues, and risk management.

  • Managing complex multi-party and high-value matters, often involving cross-jurisdictional elements.

  • Driving business development efforts and expanding your own client portfolio with the support of the firm's strong marketing and BD team.

  • Working closely with the firm's real estate, projects, and corporate teams to deliver integrated advice on contentious matters.

  • Providing leadership and mentoring to junior lawyers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous development.

Who we're looking for:

  • An experienced construction disputes lawyer, currently operating at Partner level or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step up.

  • Someone with strong technical knowledge of contentious construction law and a proven track record of winning and managing high-profile cases.

  • A confident and commercially minded individual, capable of building and maintaining client relationships at the highest level.

  • Well-connected in the regional or national construction disputes market.

  • A collaborative leader who thrives in a team environment and has a forward-looking approach.
