A leading Legal 500 full-service firm with a strong regional presence is seeking a talented Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its expanding Private Client Disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established, forward-thinking practice offering high-quality work, flexibility, and genuine career progression.
The team advises on complex and sensitive disputes relating to wills, trusts, and estates, acting for executors, beneficiaries, and trustees. You'll handle a broad and challenging caseload, representing clients in Inheritance Act claims, estate administration disputes, and contentious trust matters.
Responsibilities:
Managing a varied caseload of contentious probate matters from start to finish
Advising clients on disputes relating to wills, estates, and trusts
Representing executors, beneficiaries, and trustees in court proceedings
Drafting and preparing pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence
Leading negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions
Collaborating with colleagues across the wider private client team
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with experience in Contentious Probate
Strong understanding of wills, trusts, probate, and Inheritance Act claims
Proven experience managing your own caseload and conducting litigation
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-care skills
Proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
