A highly regarded Legal 500 firm in Chester is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy and supportive property team. The Team

The conveyancing team handles a broad range of residential property matters, providing clients with an exceptional level of service from instruction through to post-completion. The department works with individual clients, developers, and lenders on all aspects of sales, purchases, remortgages, and plot transactions.

The Role

As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will support fee earners throughout the entire conveyancing process, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and accurately. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with files from initial quotation through to post-completion

  • Preparing and drafting documentation, correspondence, and contracts

  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders

  • Managing searches, Land Registry applications, and completion statements

  • Providing high-quality administrative and client support to the conveyancing team

Requirements

  • At least 6 months' experience working as a Legal Assistant within a conveyancing team

  • Knowledge of the full conveyancing process from instruction to completion

  • Plot sales experience is desirable but not essential

  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues

  • Comfortable working predominantly office-based
