Are you a highly organised, proactive professional with a talent for managing complex communications and stakeholder engagement? Join us as the Executive Officer to the Director of Regulation and play a pivotal role in supporting high-impact regulatory and operational work.

As the Executive Assistant, your responsibilities will be:

  • Be the key liaison for internal and external communications across the Director's diverse portfolio.
  • Develop a deep understanding of regulatory priorities to inform decision-making and correspondence.
  • Coordinate closely with other Regulation Directors to ensure a joined-up approach to communications and strategic alignment.
  • Build strong networks across stakeholder offices to support effective engagement and delivery.
  • Manage the Director's schedule, travel, and commitments, aligning them with the wider directorate's priorities.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, briefings, and follow-up actions.
  • Proactively manage the Director's email and administrative systems, ensuring they evolve to meet changing needs.
  • Triage queries and correspondence, identifying risks and ensuring timely, well-judged responses.
  • Act as a central point of contact for key internal functions such as HR, communications, and the Chief Executive's office.
  • Collaborate with the Director's Strategic Adviser on operational and regulatory delivery.
  • Provide peer leadership within the Support and Strategy team to enhance business support across the directorate.

Essential Experience Summary

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior PA role, supporting a Director or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of a Director's priorities and the wider regulatory context, with sound judgement in handling queries and actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled in building effective peer networks and stakeholder relationships to support strategic engagement.
  • Experience in developing and managing administrative systems to support executive-level work.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills in managing complex and fast-paced workloads.
  • Discretion and experience in handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
