Head of Finance Delivery

Location: Hybrid working with offices in Spalding, Boston, and Horncastle

Permanent | Full-time

Salary: Up to £68'560

Sellick Partnership are excited to be recruiting for a permanent Head of Finance to join our forward-thinking Public Sector client based in Lincolnshire.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you will:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of end-to-end financial management and statutory accounts.
  • Be the key liaison between the client and the statutory Section 151 Officers across our client councils.
  • Provide strategic financial advice, performance reporting, and budget planning.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, governance, and service level agreements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in financial service delivery.
  • Manage and inspire a team of up to 10 FTEs, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Deputise for the Chief Finance Officer when required.

What We're Looking For

  • Fully qualified CCAB accountant (e.g. CIPFA, CIMA) with evidence of ongoing CPD.
  • Proven experience in financial leadership within the public sector or similar complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of local government finance, statutory reporting, and budget management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for public service and innovation.
