A friendly and well-established local authority is seeking a Major Projects Lawyer to join them on a locum basis, for a long-term 12-month contract!

The role will be hugely diverse, challenging and rewarding; you will be working on a range of major projects that will help to shape and improve the region.

About the role:

The successful locum Major Projects Lawyer will work alongside the team leader and external solicitors on a range of major projects, which will involve Levelling Up Fund, Pride in Place, health hubs, and major infrastructure and transport projects.

Experience required:

  • Extensive legal experience, including in the areas of:
    • commercial contracts
    • procurement
    • subsidy control
    • grant funding
    • governance
    • property
  • Experience of major projects
  • Experience working in the public sector, such as local council or combined authority
